Today's Devotional 11/09/2022
God bless and greetings ,
I do hope this message finds you well on this Glorious day given by God's test of the prideful.
May this day be a day when your eyes and ears are opened to recognizing pride. May this day be a day where you are able to see how humility overcomes pridefulness.
As you walk on your path, many times you look at your actions as the correct actions and when approached or even viewing the actions of another, comparison becomes the language and pointing out others deficiencies becomes the hot topic of putting yourself above others. This is done as a resemblance of how you were raised or taught by the standards of our society where holding your head up as strength begins to fade into pride losing the humility factor creating a lens that sees faults in all others and all things.
God commands that to be lifted up one must humble themselves naturally, not vocally. As success and blessings fall upon you, without notice, speaking in a proud manner of what you have or who you know evokes a separation from God's children and selfish ambition becomes the vain center of your heart not allowing you to see how to put others above yourself. Speaking to others about another's inquiries or short comings becomes a disgrace in the eyes of God for the lapse of humility and wisdom is blinded.
Speaking to or about another in a prideful and boastful manner indicates that the plank in your eye leads your heart to overlook your own iniquities and justification is attempted by saying ,"God knows my heart". Let another give you praise and not from your own mouth or from your own lips for this will avoid you speaking highly of yourself and will have your thoughts lead with sober judgment in accordance with the faith God has distributed in you.
Remember you are loved immensely and beyond measure. Remember your heart is God's compass and what leaves your lips represents your heart.
May God's grace be with you as you open a life of living harmoniously with patient, kind, non envious , non boastful, non prideful love in your heart.
✝️🙏🏾
